I have a mint ASH1-LE that I dont really know what to do with. I have a CG ASH and a special edition ASH, and the SE is just awsome. I was thinking about trading it off for the SFNO or the LE model because I dont have one.

Doeas anyone have a couple pictures of these two knives side by side and want to throw in thier opinions of these blades. I was also thinking about trying to get a FSH if I did not get a SFNO. So, point me in the right direction guys, keep it, or trade for something else. Also, is there any other knives that I could trade straight accross for that should be added to the collection.

Here is my LE, sorry for the crappy pictures, forgot yo wipe any prints from the knife.

The ASH1 and the SFNO have pretty much the same blade..
The ASH1 has a lil' bit more of a drop point, making it about 1/4" shorter in blade length.
The SFNO has a larger handle than the ASH1...
I think that the SF handle is much more appropriate on the NMSFNO w/ an 8" blade...

I also think the ASH1 is the PERFECT knife... I like it more than the SFNO by a long shot.

Now... the SFNOs with a saber grind will have more forward weight than the ASH1 LE or SE, but not the CG model.

Here are a few pics for size comparison... blades are alined at the choil.

Since you have an ASH1 LE, SE, & CG, & liking the SE best...
If it were me, I would go ahead and shoot for and ASH1 LE / SFNO LE trade just to check out the SFNO.
If you don't like it... you could always shoot for a trade back to the ASH1 LE.

IMHO, the ASH1 LE is the best of the Busses with that blade size...
Much better overall feel, better and more comfy handle, better blade to handle proportions...
just simply the best!

Good luck on that! I've been bumping a thread in the trade forum for months offering this exact trade. Not one bite.

Me too! I did finally trade away my ASH-1 LE but it took some wheeling and dealing for sure! I think there was an astounding number of ASHs sold and the SFNO was initially underappreciated so there are far fewer in circulation.

The Ash1's get no love... at my house.:p

I would pick up an SFNO Le, lately the price of an HHFSH has gotten ridiculous... on some. The SFNO Le is going to be a highly sought after blade in a year or so, I'd get one while the price is still reasonable.

LiL Foo..... you like the LE more than the SE? Why, the mag grips?
I also owned a SE which I sold to another guy also because I didn't like the standard grips. The LE is the nicest ASH1 offered - compared to the CG, HOG, or SE versions - in my opinion!

Theres a Sabre ground HHFSH in the exchange right now for a really reasonable price. I'm shocked it's still there!

Yes, I'm hoping that is a sign that the bubble in Busse prices is finally deflating, and prices will come back to earth.

I think the Infi bubble is a good little market, but it has to live in the larger economy and all that supply and demand stuff. Our white collar guys on Wall Street got a little carried away with themselves and now it's like: " ...ooops"
