Just did some more testing a few minutes ago to see how tha ASH1 performs. I know there are some that don't like it but I gotta say. "Pass the kool-aide". :p:thumbup:

ASH1 -vs- 2x4

AND ANOTHER

On this clip it performed similar to my FFBM. It either chopped or broke its way through the wood. I'll try to do at least 1 or 2 more trials with it and see what the over all results yield.

Thanks for the vid tyrk, nice work! Even that stool couldn't handle the awesome ASH-1 power; practically fell apart there :D

that wood is really brittle. Is it kiln dried?

I have no idea. It is what ever mothods the supplier for my local Home Depot. uses. The same wood used in construction. So I am not sure on that one. But probably the same as all the other 2x4s used in various tests here.

Still waiting for my ASH-1 so I can't tell ya but if someone wants it to perform differently than why not just adjust the edge it comes with?.... or send it to Ban.

Another clip added to first post. :)

For a non-chopper I am still happy with the ASH1. And for serious chopping, if you have to use the ASH1, some mechanic's gloves work wonders. ;)

Go ahead and chop up the stool too; the poor thing never saw it coming..
