Sweet!!!! I just got the long awaited email!!!! My new baby is on her way!!!! Double Cut with Red and Black G10. I will post pics once the stork drops her off :D It should be on 10/26.

One step closer. My new baby and I are now both in the same State. I should have her in my hands by 1:45PM on Monday! I will post pics as soon as she gets here. :D
 
Congrats. Double Cut is my favorite finish, and it is also more expensive than satin because they have to take the blade to satin before they give it the DC treatment. It is very hard to duplicate the DC finish. I have used a blast cabinet with 320 grit media and it is still not as fine as DC.

Thanks for the info I never realized that. It's always nice to learn something new. To top it off I kind of slipped that DC under the wire. The following week just before they sold out Busse took the DC off of the list as an option for this knife. As a matter of fact when I spoke to Lexi on the telephone she double checked to see if the DC was available, luckily for me it still was. This will be my first double cut. The closest thing I have to it is my Dumpster Mutt LE. I think that is more of a satin finish if I am not mistaken.

Everyone imto Busses should have at least one Battle Mistress in my opinion.

Well mission complete come Monday. I have always wanted a Battle Mistress, and now I can cross this off the bucket list. :)
 
Do old school mistresses count? Sometimes the longer they've been around.... You get it I'm sure. ;)

lol...ty...I fell in love with it from day one. I just never got around to ordering one. It's gonna be fun! :D
 
ARGH!!!!! I am so confused, which is my normal state ;). I thought that the Battle Mistress had shipped. It won't ship for about another five days, ;however my Rodent 9 did get here today. That being said if anyone would like, I would be happy to post pics of the Rodent 9 to hold all of us over for about another week. Just let me know. I'm not saying I am not thrilled with the knife but I think we can all agree that a Rodent 9 will never be a Battle Mistress. :o
 
Rodent nine is a bad blade for sure. It will outchop a bunch of blades out there and is tough as nails. If you don't want it send it to me for proper disposal.
