Just got this one in textured black paper on double cut, and I'm really happy with the combination of grippy and smooth for control and comfort. Feels like smooth buffalo horn with some of the texture left on...
 
I love the look of DCBB even better than satin. I think I am in the minority but it just grabs me. That is sweet looking!

Thanks, guys. I thought anyone thinking about this combo might like to see it--I certainly recommend it for rugged good looks and ergonomics, and I doubt even heavy use will change its looks much.
 
I really like Double Cut on Black Paper, its just stunning! Congrats on a gorgeous knife!
 
Congrats Will:thumbup::D she's a looker, and the combo looks much better in real life than it did in my mind's eye.

Thanks, Lennox. That's what I was hoping--that the photo might be useful to someone if this combo is on their radar.

I'm happy enough with it I'm thinking of ordering another. IMHO, this knife in this configuration for under $600 shipped is a very appealing deal. :thumbup:

Agree Will -- Double Cut does have a rugged, no nonsense look to it. Beautiful knife. DC looks great with Black Micarta too.
