You guys think Busse still has blanks for the ASHBM LE? I have no doubt about their warranty now, but should my blade fail, I would much prefer a brand new one than just get the in store credit.

No offense, but I think you need to stop worrying so much about your knife failing. Go use it and enjoy it. Regardless if they have blanks or not Busse will make it right if it brakes, but it is highly unlikely that it will. If you really insist on knowing if they have blanks then you will need to contact the shop, because they are the only ones that will know for sure. It's a great knife, enjoy it!

You're welcome. I hope I didn't come across as a bit of a jerk. I know that these knives are expensive and cost a lot of hard earned money, and that can be a hard hump to cross at first. Once you start getting some use out of the knife though you will understand why it costs what it does. Don't baby the knife, use it hard and have fun with it. :)

If you are buying and using an LE from any manufacturer you are never going to get another LE under warranty.

With that in mind, if your knife is such that you cannot live without it, and it is an LE, then don't use it or buy 2 or 3 so you can self-insure.

That said, there are very few, if any, cases of a Busse knife breaking under normal use. Enjoy your knife and cross when you find yourself at a bridge.

$50 that OP already broke his knife messing around with the edge and is seeing if he can get it warrantied... ;)

In my experience you have nothing to worry about, there are threads on here of people cutting through old chains, sticking their knife in the road and all manner of stupid things, don't think I've ever seen one broken yet.

And..... For the win.
