ASHBM or NMFSH

You have got to try them both to decide.

For me.. as Safetyman said, Fusion handles win the day for me since I first discovered Busse. The most perfect handle ever designed, at least in my hands.

Wish I had an NMFSH, but I do have my take-it-to-the-grave HHFSH.
 
I've never held an ASHBM but I really like the CG FBM handle and the straight handled Busse's I've tried to chop with beat my pinky finger up. I'd try out the NMFSH in a heartbeat, not interested in the ASHBM. Fwiw.

Both feel great in the hand. For a "one knife only" option, the NMFSH wins easily bc the ASHBM would just be more bulky to carry. For me the NMFSH is much quicker in the hand than I would've thought before I got mine. For chopper only, ASHBM wins easily bc, well science. Get em both!!!
 
NMFSH for me, love this knife there's just something about it.
I don't think you can go wrong with ether blade. But if your looking for that tank like feeling get the NMFSH, just my thoughts.
 
easy decision. Get the classic anniversary remake of the original blade that created the hysteria. I did

ASHBM -- a great chopper, long, not overly heavy, straight handle feels great.
NMFSH -- a beautiful beast but not quite a long chopper and too thick to be quick.

Lol, I was out of town when those arrived and my daughter took a pic of them and sent it to me. that is the pic. Garth did those three. He earned a bottle of single cask jack for it which I am sure Jerry drank most of.
 
NMFSH for me. Or NMFBM. ;)

I much prefer the Fusion handles, having larger hands. The only thing I don't care for on my user Battle Saw (ASHBM analog) is the straight handle, but that knife is SO awesome otherwise, I keep her around. :p It is not the most pleasant of my Busse blades for me to chop with, as I do get severe pinky bite. Would be perfect with a Fusion handle. :thumbup:

hmm, I wonder if Busse would do a fussion battlesaw?
 
That thought has crossed my mind more than once!!! It would be truly epic!!! :eek: :D :cool: :thumbup:
 
Oh lordy.... Fusion Battlesaw. One can only hope......... Man. Fusion handle everything then while you're at it.
 
Had the Ashbm sold it bought a nmfsh and a hhfsh and love them both. Ashbm is a great chopper but it was biting my pinky. The steelhearts are better balanced knives and you can do many tasks also the fusion handle is the best I've found so far on a fixed blade. The only thing the Ashbm is good imo is chopping but still depends on your technique like I said it biting my pinky.
