ASHBM -- which two?

I'm close to getting another Busse fix and I'm thinking of ordering two ASHBM's. One will be heavily used, the other lightly used. I like all four of the following combos but could use your help making a decision. I love the look of double cut (almost as much as satin), but am not sure it offers the rust resistance of either coated or satin. I prefer the grip and feel of black canvas but Rob's hand smoothed black G10 LE is a classic. Here are the choices. Which two would you go for and why?

1) ASHBM CG, hand smoothed black canvas, sage blade
2) ASHBM CG, hand smoothed black canvas, double cut
3) ASHBM LE, hand smoothed black canvas
4) ASHBM LE, hand smoothed black G10

Thanks.
John

I'd go with these 2. I like canvas better because it's lighter in weight.

Sage is a very tough coating for a user, and Mmmmm satin for a looker and a user.
I'm really loving on the choiless as well.

1) ASHBM CG, hand smoothed black canvas, sage blade

3) ASHBM LE, hand smoothed black canvas

Enjoy your choice as there is no wrong one. :)

Oh, that's tough...

First I'd go #1, because I'm going to beat the daylights out of her anyway, and when I'm done she can always visit the spa or be a stripper. :D
Then I'd go with #4, I love the "Tuxedo Busse". Satin LE with Black hand shaped G10. Love it, LOVE It, LOVE IT!!!

Have you decided on Choil/No Choil?

Run! Now! While you still have a chance!

Oh well....don't say I didn't try to warn you. I'd get the Sage coat with black canvas for your user and a LE. Both with choils.

Good luck with your decision. That is a tough one but like stated above, the nice part is there is no wrong answer.

Garth

The double cut one as a user and the LE as your not so used.

The stripped blades are better at everything.

Chris.

evltcat,

I'm going to go with choil -- just like the look ... and allows choking up on the ASHBM while peeling grapes ;-)

I'm also trying to decide between hand smoothed and machined black micarta. If chopping without gloves, I would imagine hand smoothed would feel best and prevent blisters. That said, I love the machined straight handles on my ASH-1's -- both the muddy HOG and double cut.

Regarding blade finish, was going to go Sage and Double Cut but can see there's some love for the LE. As Garth says, no wrong choices here.

Enjoy the Thanksgiving holiday everyone and thanks for the input.

Sounds AWESOME!

I have a CG, no Choil in Tanker Grey with Green/Black machined G10.
Then I turned around and ordered an LE with choil and w/Hand shaped Green/Black G10. That was right after I saw Rob Stanley's LE w/hand shaped Black G10. What a Beauty! :D
I love that hand smoothed look!!! (On both Canvas or G10).

Congratulations!!!!!!!!
