ASHBMCG Weight?

Please tell me , what does this Knife weigh? Especially the choiless one with G10 ;)

Busse Collector says a 10" bladed 16" OAL 0.312" thick BM weighs 30 oz.

I want to quantify how the full V Grind and LB treatment changes Blade characteristics like weight.

Also where is the Balance Point located?

The specs on Busse collector would be of the original SHBM which is an inch shorter than the Anniversary "SH a BooM"

see ASHBM specs from Busse site

BLADE LENGTH: 11"
BLADE WIDTH: 2"
BLADE THICKNESS: 5/16"
OVERALL LENGTH: 16-1/2"
GRIND: Full Height Flat
STEEL: INFI
HARDNESS: 58-60Rc
OPTIONS: Choil or No Choil
AVAILABILITY: Ships within 4-14 weeks

and just to clarify. They are all full flat grinds. The V is referring to the edge. Its a V edge vs an asymmetrical or convex edge. The edge grind wont impact much if any as most SHBMs are V or asym. The balance point I imagine is an inch or so in front of the handle slabs compared to the old ones. The extra inch and the lightening of the tang should make these more blade heavy.

thanks thats about as helpful as your video full of sheath clad Busse Blades.... I'm still left wondering what they look like!

THere were over 127 knives in that video. Bought at one time from one show.

I was under the impression that the ASHBM's did not receive the full LB treatment. Is that incorrect? As well, if I recall there was a statement from Jerry or Garth stating that these were very well balanced, and that this was taken into consideration during design as was the pinky pinch issue.

I'm fine waiting to find all of this out when I get mine ,and I trust that Busse is releasing a blade worthy of being an anniversary representation of the original. The anticipation is half of the fun to me.

The wait was going to kill me so I went on vacation...heading home today...still waiting....;cool
My understanding is that "LB" treatment is quite different in that the tang is now machined through not just relieved like the other LB models....Holy Hollow INFI...:D

Hey T the SHEATHS in the VID are Awesome cuz they are caressing that INFI...Victoria Model Style....:eek:

I do miss miss the old-skool KH at times, but it's soothing to see the T-man has mellowed. :cool:

If someone knew I doubt they'd even tell you at this point. I will tell you its more than the 30 ozs listed on the smaller SHBM, but you should have been able to figure that out for yourself.

Now cause you wouldnt listen you have the burden of a 40pt weight around your neck. If your lucky it wont drag you to the bottom.

FYI, you only have 10pts to go before being fed to the sharks and banned.
