Greetings everyone,
Im finally posting some of my pictures from the 2009 Ashokan bladesmithing seminar. I took over 750 photos, so it will take me a while to get the good ones edited for the web. Ill start with pictures from Friday, 09/18/09.
I got to Ashokan a little early, so I had time to go for a walk before dinner. You are just about guaranteed to see some deer at Ashokan and, since no one hunts them, they are not very shy. This doe actually walked to within 20 feet of me.
This is the famous Ashokan covered bridge.
And this is a shot of Winchells Falls, just below the field campus.
After dinner, Tim Neu, the Ashokan director, gave his usual opening remarks.
Then Tim Zowada gave the introductions.
And Dan Maragni (ABS MS) showed us the books in his Best Of category.
