Well now, stir up some interest as it's always a good weekend at Ashokan! I was almost not going to be able to go but have since sold some items that will allow me to make the fee, so I'll be able to make it this year.
For those of you that would like to know more, take a peek at the one we had back in the year 2000, it was a celebration of the Sword, see this link here; Sword 2000
that site has some nice shots of the area where Ashokan is located, deep into the woods of New York, outside of Kingston, if you look close enough, one of the photos has me in the background watching a fellow use my Norton Sharpening stones

There is Bunk house sleeping, bring your ear plugs
, a Mess hall with excellent food and of course lessons to be learned and friends to make.
