ASK All Steel Knife

[Shing]

Prototype All Steel Knife (ASK) made for tough use.

Made of O1 steel, will be heat treated and coated with Gunkote in a variety of colours.

Proto is made of 3/8 thick steel, production ones will be 1/2 or 5/8 thick depending on style, size and use. Holes drilled to lighten it, will be filled with heat cured resin before Gunkoting.

Looks sweet. I've seen an 10" chef knife that was milled out of a solid block of D2 and it was sweet as well.

I'm going to leave it plain, dosen't need any flutes because its quite comfy and secure.

What kind of edge you think of on these? Convex or full flat w/bevel?

Would a wee choil be worthwhile?

Question as to what filler material would stand up to the curing process for Gun-Kote?
