I haven't been posting in awhile and I think that's a good thing. This subforum has really turned around and you have yourselves to thank for that. In the beginning I was busy answering questions and putting rumors to rest. These days it seems like you guys know your stuff and when someone asks a question, a knowledgeable member will chime in before I can. I love it. I still check this subforum everyday, yes, everyday. I chime in when I think it warrants me to.

Again, if you have specific questions regarding your orders, or whats in stock, or if we can send you a part please direct these to info@emersonknives.com

Our Customer Service Department is top knotch. Ann, Ernesto or Aaron can help you with any questions and concerns you may have.

I am here to represent the company on the forum and I do what I can in relaying information. I am not at the shop that often as I work in a completely different industry with hours that don't make any sense.

Also, I know some of you don't mean to be impolite when asking why we stopped making a certain model, or you have a great idea for a knife but it's getting to a point where it's borderline out of control. I don't want to set a bad precedent. We DO listen and have actually started resurrecting some older models because there was a lot of interest in doing so. We love our customers and want to make them happy so we're always working hard at giving you what you want and will continue to do so.

Thanks for understanding and we appreciate your loyalty to a knife brand that represents the American Dream.

Well the statement about you not being at the Emerson facility 24 x 7 x 365 is good information. As some of us assumed you slept on a cot in the back room. <<<<-----That was a joke, and hope you took it that way.

Being a Moderator is a big pain in the rear end, as with many thing in life no matter how hard, you work at moderatin g, or representing a company soon or later no matter how good a job you are doing or have done.

You will get flamed, and that goes with the turf.

OK, I'll cut you some slack right after you get Mr. E to grind me a Super CQC-10 with a chisel grind zero edge. ;)

What was that favor again :D

I'm sure a lot of members will agree with me when I say I think you have done one hell of a job since you have been on here E Rep, the Emerson subforum has a totally different atmosphere, especially since you have been moddin :D, the time and effort you put into our little corner of Bladeforums is much appreciated.

Nice to know your still around frequently and your input to the forum is greatly appreciated!

^^HD 10!? What you trying to do, put me in the poor house?!

would be AWESOME though

I’m new to Emerson and new to this forum…new to tactical folders also. Is this a PC way of saying, shut up? I emailed EKI once asking if they were going to make an HD-7 in SF, now I feel stupid! They emailed be back promptly saying no, I thought nothing of it until I read this thread.

I doubt it. Randy is actually a forum moderator as much or more than he's a company PR representative. I suspect it's ER's way of letting us know that he isn't actually stationed in the Emerson shop where he has ready access to people who can answer questions at a moment's notice. Only Mr. E knows for sure whether Emerson will make or revive a certain model. I think ER is just saying that for every 10 Emerson fans on the board here, there are 11 requests for something special. And he's trying to direct certain inquiries like service, warranty, or parts inquiries to the appropriate people that are in the Emerson shop. Which just makes sense. We'll get accurate information from people who are in the shop and know what's going on, and we'll get it sooner than if we wait for Randy to find the answer and get back to us.

'Course... I could be way off base here...

Ok EmersonREP, I think you are doing a great job.

Any idea when the iron dragon will be back in stock?

Yes...Yes they are, I'm not sure who I have to thank for it but I had ordered a set of replacement screws and a spare pivot and in the comments I threw in that I had accidentally over-tightened a screw and it broke off in the standoff. I asked if I could get a spare and sure enough when I got my replacement parts there was, at the bottom in it's own baggie a standoff. To me this is top notch, I messed up and broke it in the first place, and in my haste to get a new one didn't just call in and ask and instead just put it as a note in my order and someone obliged to help. I don't know if it was customer service or whoever processes the orders but that was awesome. EKI has a fan that's happy to give them more money :D

I really appreciate a lot of the information you are able to relay, especially giving us early warning for short production runs of unique knives like last year's Persians and the current run of waveless CQC-8s.

There have been a hundred (or more) different models over the years and each one had people who really really appreciated each one.

I always assume that a certain model is no longer produced because it didn't sell well, simple enough.

The short runs have really brought back my interest in the brand. I dislike the wave for an EDC knife, and last year's Persian and this year's waveless CQC-8 will result in me picking up others, like a CQC-7A and 'B. Short runs make collecting a lot of fun :D
