With all the hemming and hawing about early lockup all over the place, Id like to see pics of where the average lock actually settles on your Emerson.

I truly don't see it as all that worrisome. Yes, i know earlier lockup can mean longer wear life, but it seems to be needlessly obsessed over. Both my Mini Comm and 7A quickly settled with the inner edge of the liner a little over halfway across the tang. My other liner and frame locks quickly settled pretty late too. I know many would freak over this. Doesn't bother me a bit.

Anyway, if you find the time, would you mind kindly posting pics of your lockup? Im curious where the real world majority lies.

Thx.

Sure, here are some pics of mine.

2013 Commander, used regularly and rather roughly on occasion.

2014 cqc-7, used regularly as well.

New Rangemaster, basically new, lock barely broken in.

And finally a CN Commander from 1999.

L - R: 2008 CQC-7BW, 2010 Super KBit, 2006 CQC-7B, 2008 A136, 2010 CQC-7V, 2009 Jman, 2008 or 2006 SOCFK-A

Here are mine. Left to right:
- 2014 Mini Commander - has seen a fair amount of use
- 2014 CQC-7AW - has seen little use
- 2014 Horseman - has seen almost no use (yet!)

Here is my CQC 9. About 20 years old and well used but lockup is still relatively early and no stickiness.

My first Emerson, a cqc-11, saw the lock migrate all the way to the other liner before I even got done learning the wave feature. I called EKI and they fixed it right up for me. Have had no issues with any others and their cs was pleasant to deal with.

An older thread, but...

My 2014 7V, my most "abused" Emerson.

My 2013 A-100, carried a lot and used well.

My 2012 Super 7, my first and oldest Emerson.

My 2014 CQC-8, my current most carried Emerson.

My 2014 ETAK B, carried a lot.

My brand new 2015 CSF, excuse the sharpie on the tang, left over from break in.

I like a bit later lock up, I think it is more solid that way.

Hope this helps.

From the left is my 2012 Super Commander, 2015 Tiger, 2011 Journeyman, and 2012 CQC7AW.
Despite the angle perception in the photo ... in reality the Journeyman lock-up is around 45% and the 7AW is around 35%.
