Asking for a trade in sales.

Are you allowed as a registered only member to ask a seller for a trade in a " For sale by individuals " thread ?
Are you allowed to send them a direct message asking about a trade.

Obviously if they have " no trades " listed its out of the question.

Also, is it appropriate to ask if international shipping/selling is available if details about shipping are not mentioned in the original post ?
 
You are allowed to send offers, though most people appreciate if it is through email or PM rather than in the thread.

Nothing wrong with inquiring if they will ship to you either. Now, it depends on the seller if they prefer the inquiry is in private or the thread.

If they dont have their email activated you can go to their profile and leave a Visitors Message.

My own recommendation would be to contact them privately for trade talk.
If that is not an option, your post should be as generic as possible, so as not to divert attention from the item being sold - something along the lines of If you'd consider a trade offer, please contact me. I'm kind of a jerk, so I wouldn't bother leaving contact info - people should have their emails enabled if they're posting ads.
 
Thanks for the help ! Looking to maybe get rid of a Fox Ti Flipper designed by anso and no one really wants it.. gonna try these newly learned trade skills later this week :cool:
 
It's best to just not post in a sale thread unless you intend to buy straight out. Benchwarmer's advice about using email or visitor messages for trade offers, questions, offers, ect is the way to go.
