ASking for help to identify 2 more Benchmades

Asking for help from the Benchmade experts here please. No boxes with the knives so I have nothing to refer to on that end. No model numbers are on either blade. I could not find them on the Benchmade website so I think that they are discontinued. Thank you very much for any help.

#1 knife is a liner lock and on the handle in silver is a butterfly and Bali-Song. This little insert is missing on the other side of the handle.








Knife #2 just has the black butterfly on handle on one side. Blade has printing of Benchmade USA and ATS-34. Locking mechanism is on top

The first one is an early 812 Mini-AFCK, the second, an 830 Ascent. Both are from the 90's. The missing medallion on the 812 cannot be replaced, long out of service.

Joe has got it. Love that old Ascent, my first Benchmade ever, bought at Travis AFB BX in California.

Thanks for the help. I was hoping if I contacted Benchmade I could buy a replacement medallion for the 812 but I guess not. I used a little piece of Never Dull cotton on the blade and all the dirt came right off. Looks brand new. Edge of blade had what looked like glue from packing tape being cut.

Same here. I just got an 812 mini AFCK IN VG Shape but is missing both Bali-Song handle emblems. If anyone knows where I can get a couple please let me know. Thank you

I’ve also been comparing 812 Mini’s on line and have noticed some differences in placement of the Benchmade U.S.A. Logo in reference to the serrated part of the blade. Worthpoint listings match my knife but some on EBay don’t. Can I assume the ones that don’t are fakes? They are all listed between $250 and $300. Thanks

i don’t believe there were ever any fake 812’s tho i could be wrong. benchmade does change the positioning and details of their laser marks on occasion, could be they were produced a few years apart
