ASP Batons

Dennis, could you tell me if ASP batons are legal to carry in Knoxville or the surrounding areas? I've heard conflicting "opinions" and wondered if you could let me know from a LEO's point of view.

I think an ASP would be considered a weapon. Probably not a good idea to carry one. Be discreet if you do.

Hmmm,

What about Canada? Any LEO from Vancouver/BC here? I'm guessing that it's not a good idea anyways. But a confirmation would be good.
