I was at the bookstore while my wife was in the mall today, and picked up GQ because they had a cover story about soldiers returning from Iraq.
The jist was that they are having a hard time dealing with the return to everyday life, and they cited a killing of a Bragg soldier. He was killed by one of his fellow soldiers because he got them 'kicked out of a strip bar'.
The writer said he was stabbed with an ASSAULT KNIFE. Well, that's the first time I've heard that one. Anyone else heard it?
It sounds to me like some writer is trying to draw a parallel between a knife and an 'assalt rifle'. If a writer does it, can't be long before a politician does.
What a load, no?
Regards,
Jeremy
