Not too get technical on you, and I could be wrong here, but that looks like an overlay to me, although it isn't all that clear from the picturecdyer said:I saw this one by Gary over on the Rat Chat board. Not a full handle (not a Busse either), but a nice insert.

I did say I might be wrong. Maybe I've just been hanging out in W&C lately. Really, I don't care that much. I'm a nice guy in really life, and like many postings, the words may not convey the sentiment, or the reader might misinterpret one's feeling. It's a strange place.Matteo Escobar said:Just a word of advice from a fellow Busse fan.

Well.... It's a matter of opinion I suppose. I guess it depends on how much space there is between the material and the handle. IMO, I don't really like that type of handle with material sticking out, it's really not too comfortable, and really, is a cheaper way of putting a knife together, because you don't have to take the time to make it flush. I don't mind overlays, though, because they don't get in the way, and they don't interfere with your grip.potterma said:OK, on a full tang fixed blade, what is the difference between an "overlay" and a "handle?" Seems like the same thing to me...
