I got my Assault shaker today!!!!Great little knife.Touched up the factory edge on a Sharpmaker ceramic stick and now its razor sharp.I used a piece of paracord to secure the sheith(??) to my belt.Looks like this little knife will be my new constant companion.It goes great with my other Busse's....SJCG and BAIII Nucart and a couple of Rats. LOL!!:D

Hmmmm....you would think that the Busse factory would have caught that sharpening task during the manufacturing process? If you ordered directly from Wauseon and it didn't come as sharp as you expected, I'm sure they would be happy to send it over the grinder for a few more passes. Their customer service staff is very friendly and eager to help.

Wow, I tend to get a little bit of a "pitter-patter" when I hear folks glowing about their recently-delivered Assault Shakers n' Pepper Shakers that just showed-up in the mail. :)

my name is Jan and I'm from Germany. I've been posting over at the Strider knives forum for a while, but I am also the owner of a Busse Assault Shaker. Right now I'm waiting for a Strider GB and let me tell you, Busse and Strider are the only two companies I consider when choosing a new knife. The Assault Shaker has been real good to me in EDC (worn as neck knife)
Anyway, a few questions regarding AS kydex sheaths.
First, I never quite understood how this use-paracord-to-secure-sheath-on-belt business works. For now I always used a Tek-Lok to secure the factory sheath to my belt. Any pics would be greatly appreciated!
Also, any ideas for IWB carry with AND without belt??
Furthermore, I have been experimenting with Kydex myself but haven't come up with a good idea for a small AS sheath that can be used as neck sheath as well as IWB as well as Tek-Lok compatibility. Again, pics would be greatly appreciated!

BlueJays:I guess I should have said "Not as sharp as I like..."I just touched up the edge and got it from sharp to screaming sharp.
J.Vervoorst:I never held a Strider...I can't comment on their stuff.
As far as the sheath goes,I just ran the para cord thru the 2 top holes and down along the sides to the bottom holes and back thru.I pulled the ends tight and tyed a square not,cut off the excess and bunt the cut edges.Woola!!A great way to secure to your belt.:)
 
I am also curious about the "touch-up" things, cause my AS came with a screaming razor sharp edge.
The easiest way to secure ur sheath on ur belt is simply a knot, which is the way I carry my AS. The idea of wrap in this pic is from a previous post in this forum.

I like the Bunnies line in your signature Dark Nemesis. I think that was their best episode ever, and one of the best single episode on TV ever too.
 
Thanks :) I live for Tuesday & Sunday nights :D it's by far my favorite show for many years now, get's better and better with every season.
