Assist or De-assist my new Blure?

So, I recently asked about what steel to get my Blur in. I decided 14c28n, took the plunge and order one from Kershawguy, who has absolutely phenomenal service. Got it the next day (granted I found out we live in the same town).

Anyway, now I'm wondering how many of you de-assist your Blurs? I'm not sure how I feel about the speed assist. I had a ZT 301, and wasn't too crazy about it on that blade, but I'm still making my mind up about it on the Blur. I will probably keep it in for a few weeks then try it without, but while I experiment I just thought I'd ask about what every one else does with their Blurs.

Assisted or de-assisted?
 
Though I've never done it, many folks praise the de-assisted Blur. And if you don't like it, you can restore the assist.
 
I prefer de-assist. However, I own two and keep one each way. This keeps me from ever having to make a decision :p
 
Try it both ways and see which one you prefer. In my opinion telling someone they will like a de-assisted blade better is like telling a guy: if you like sex with a woman you really need to try it by yourself! I think assisted blades rock but that's my opinion.

That's what I was doing wrong.... gotta find me a woman :)
 
I'm with SpyKers on this, keep one assisted and one not! A de-assisted Blur still opens very fast. When I de-assisted mine, I was surprised that it would fully open and lock with just a push of my thumb every time!
 
I have one unassisted and the rest are assisited. It really doesn't matter to me. My decision lays in if I want an outside work blade or a nice and pretty dress type blade. Color would come before type of assist in my book!

I like the title "blure"! Is that a french blur? Does it smell like garlic? :D
