assisted conversion

Right now I am in the prosses of modifying a Cold Steel 4 inch aluminum ti-lite. My next step would be to pop in a coil spring to add an assist mechanism, would this be relativly easy?

Only if you can mill the blade tang and bolster for the spring recess.
Then you have to figure out a way to keep it closed. At this point it will probably become an automatic, unless you can figure out how to retatd the opening.
Or I could have just said, "No."
