Assisted opening 0770- sore finger

Since receiving this knife I have not been pleased with the amount of pressure it takes to open the knife. I understand that you have to overcome the load on the spring and also leave the detent with the ball. The first thing with a new knife is to clean and sharpen the blade. After that do what I can to improve the action and finish if necessary. I purchased two 0770 and sold one. They were identical in action, fit and finish. I added a slight ramp to the detent to allow the ball to leave without so much pressure. This helped but not enough. The biggest improvement to this knife was to lengthen the slot that the spring rides in. (SS plate and back spacer. This was easy with a round needle file. To finish I removed the jimping on the flipper. This knife is now sweet to open and the finger feels much better. Below you will see the position of the blade prior to the filing and then after when closing the knife. It still opens with authority.
Anyone else have problems with assisted opening?
