ok, so i've always preffered a manual knife to an assisted. i have handled a ZT 0350, 0300, and liked both but would like them more as manuals (i think) has anyone had experience making these into manuals? or any other Kershaws? thanks

The 0350 makes an AWESOME manual flipper. I greatly prefer mine without the assist. They open so smoothly that you will wonder why the torsion bar was ever needed in the first place. The 0300, on the other hand, does not. Since it does not have a stand-alone detent like the 0350s, removing the torsion bar means you have nothing in place to hold the blade closed. This leaves you with the option of an extremely tight pivot, a free swinging blade, or drilling a detent hole yourself.

 Ooh.. Thank you, glad I didn't find that out the hard way haha. And I've been drooling over the 0350TS for a while, and now that i know that, I might just have to get one

I took apart my Clash and the torsion bar comes right out and goes right back in. Never thought about the detent issue because I like the AO feature.

I'm more worried about the function of the knife without the torsion bar, not the ease of access. but the easier the better :)

I removed the torsion bar on my 0400 a while back and replaced the small washer with one that matches the lock side. It also has a detent so closed retention is there. Its now as smooth as my 0200.

The ZT 0350 makes a great manual flipper from what I've heard as well. Been meaning to de-assist mine, but just haven't gotten around to doing it yet.

that's what I've heard also. Just thought i'd see what the elders would say :)

I took the torsion bar out of my 350 also and it's very fast and smooth. Just takes a little flick of the wrist.

Well...since you mentioned other Kershaws...and I like posting my videos... here ya go! :D
