association about knife, cutlery in solingen? ??

There's many areas around the world that are noted for being historic centers of cutlery production. Solingen, Germany is one of them. In England, there's Sheffield, in Spain there's Toledo, in Italy there's Maniago, in Japan there's Seki City, and in the US there's Pennsylvania and upstate NY.

You'll often see references to "Solingen" steel, but that doesn't really refer to a specific steel type, but rather that the steel or the knife was made in Solingen.

A century ago referencing to a famous knife builder region had some meaning : all the good people were there because they could make a decent living out of their craft, because tradition, history, knowledge passed down through generation, on and on. Today, it's only a marketing feature. Any maker, anywhere, can get the best steel made anywhere in the world, if he's willing to. And some of them make incredible knives out of spring leaf steel.

Thanks. Man.
We are exploring Germany marekt, selling knife steel materials to them.
But i do not how to start with it.
It seems difficult.

No matter how, thanks.

Yes, legend is legend.
Old days can not back yet.

Right now kinds of steel developed for making knives.
It's difficult to judge.

Choosing a good knife steel is very important.

Steel is important, sure. But a knife is not made in a lab. A good smith will make wonders with a decent steel that has been around for decades, like 1095. Maybe, we will see new areas of knife excellency emerge from the current commercial mess. Because the materials at hand are better than ever and as for the skills... anybody step up and present proof !
