Here ya go........ :)

Busse Table

The Busse table was my favorite part of the show. Probably spent about two hours there total through the day. I picked up a combat grade Bad Apple which is the primary reason I came to the show, and a Battle Mistress. I never had the chance to own a Mean Street, but I can't imagine liking it more than the Bad Apple. This knife fits my hand perfectly, and has great balance. Here are the specs.

Overall Length: 8.0"
Blade Length: 3.5"
Handle Length: 4.5"
False Edge Length: 2.25"
Overall Thickness: 3/16" (0.1875")
Handle Inserts: Black Micarta
Extra Comments: Two talon holes, one on the guard location, and the other is directly in line with the teardrop shaped pommel.

I've gotta find someone to make me a sheath, then I'm carrying this little guy everyday. If you can, this is one knife to pickup quick, you'll love it.

Marc was fielding questions constantly. There was always a crowd at the Busse table. There were moments when I thought people were going to knock me out of the way to get at Jerry's new customs. There were models there with blade ranging from 7"-10", and all were wicked designs. Now, the Flying Tiger that Jerry just introduced was not there, but it will probably steal the show today. Good luck Marc, and you thought yesterday attracted a crowd, hehe :)

My Battle Mistress is nothing new, she is the standard straight handled which is discontinued. It's nice to give another mistress a good home :)

I really meant to take lots of Busse pics guys, but when I went back at the end of the day, my camera (Damn Kodak!!), was dead. My apologies in advance....

Who Knows.....

The sign didn't come out well in the pic so I have no idea who he was. Great guy to talk with, and a neat looking knife. Anyone else recognize this table?

Farid Custom Knives

Stopped by this table. His T1000, and some new blade design protypes were out one display. Solid lock and well made. Wish they were quite a bit larger, but for those who like small folders, definately a nice piece.

General Sale/Trade Tables

These were spread out every where at the show. None of them had good prices, infact I would say you would have ended up paying too much. With all the makers surrounding them I don't know how they sold anyhthing :) If you look close you'll see two Rob Simonich knives with his interpretation of the Strider Tiger Striping. From what I understand he uses the same process, but its definately not the same pattern. Would "busy" be the word to describe those stripes? :)

Daniel Winkler Table

Interesting old time knives. My dad loved this table. He loved the style Mr. Winkler used. So obviously I snapped a quick photo for him :) There were very nice knives, but I'm much more into modern day tactical knives.

Jim Siska Custom Knives

Didn't even mean to go here, it was a funny moment though. I was walking down an isle, and had to get out of the way so people could pass (it was really really crowded). I turn towards a table and there was this man standing in front of me saying "Hi, welcome to Siska Custom Knives", and he wanted to shake my hand. Me just a little preoccupied with not falling over from people shoving me, just said "Umm, hi :)" and shook his hand. Snapped a quick pic while was there. My dad asked me who that was, and I just answer "Custom knife show, must be a custom knifemaker but beats the hell out of me I've never heard of him," lol

Britton Knives Table

He has some good looking stuff here, however it was all ATS-34, with no options for different steels. I don't have anything against ATS-34, but its just not one of my favorite. Ummm, can someone say INFI !!!! :D This is a pic of one of his fighters.

American Tomahawk Table

Just stopped by here for a sec. They had the usual tomahawk pack of people. Not something I'm really interested in, but I wanted to see all the table. Here are two pics of the Walter Brend limited edition they had out.

DN,
Thanks for posting those pics. Looks like there was some nice stuff there.

Glad you were also able to pick a little something up for yourself? ;):D

I most certainly did :D I'm editing the post in reverse, that way everyone can look at the pics, and not wait for me to type everything over again.

That mystery table may have been Odin blades. They have a website, you can check Sword forum they come up there every once in a while.

Never heard of Jim Siska? :(

Thanks for the pics though.:)

fq55: thanks for the tip, I'm curious to find out the maker, there was some nice stuff there.

samhell: I know, have gotten three emails with the same astonishment :) His name sounded remotely familiar but I didn't have any concrete knowledge of him. From what people are telling me, Siska knives are incredible.
