Assuming this 112 is a fake

Mine has the same style stamp and date code. When I look at this knife online, the picture is a littler clearer. My knife's stamp below does look a little more "clean". I would guess this is real, but will defer to some of the more experienced members.

As dsutton24 dsutton24 said above.
That semi circular tang stamp was used on the "Founders Edition" 112 sold in a decorative tin at WalMart.
The Founders Edition had Hoyt Buck's signature etched on the blade.
There was a matching 110 with Al Buck's signature.
The special BCCI tang stamp also uses the unique semi circular style.
I know Preston pjsjr pjsjr has nice pictures. Hopefully he will share.
I probably have them also but too lazy to get off the sofa...

Thank you Roger, but, what makes you think I'm not lazy. ;)
I have the 112 in the tin also...somewhere. This is it.

The top 112 has the BCCI tang stamp...

I 'm not sure I still have the 110 in a tin. I took this one and had Leroy do ivory covers and file work.

Yes, they are my pictures, Roger.
Ha Ha, got me. Poor short term memory related to old age.... (I meant 2022)
I always like to attribute those kind of things to typos, just saying 😁

Edited to add...just saw this quip, "At my age, I'm good at multitasking. I can listen, ignore and forget all at the same time."
