It was a super deal, I got it for $100. My Dui Chirra screams "fighter". This ATSK screams "worker". It has a villager finish which is more matte and grey compared to the Dui Chirra which as a more liquid metal feel without the mirror finish of my WWII. Aunties sister Kanchhi did the final metal file and finish on the handle. She did an amazing job, auntie informed me that their father had taught her how to do the finish work. Their father must of been a good teacher due to the amazing job she did. There are no high spots on the spine and it feels very comfortable. I did the final finish on the wood. I used 600,1000,1500 with a BLO slurry to seal the pores and give it a smooth finish. It came out real nice, I love neem and I think it came out pretty good. Let me know who you like it...

Great pics, love the handles, they look super. The $100.00 for an ASTK was a steal. Thanks for sharing.
 
Gorgeous Knife and an amazing deal. I like my "shiny" blades but there is something very cool and classy about the matte finish ones.

Even if someone could actually own only 1 Khukri that ASTK is something someone could treasure and be proud of.

Man what a great job on that wood! Freekin gorgeous! You, Kanchhi, and Lachhu did well!:thumbup: Even the C&K are beautifully matched! Congrats! I gotta go back and look at the original pics and kick myself in the arse for not doing that deal for $100. WTH is wrong with me?
