Hey Gents, I'm attempting a homemade blade swap on an abused 2dot with a LT blade. I want to know if I should re-use the pivot bushing that appears to be steel with some play in the brass rod I'm using or if I should use the new copper bushing that is tight and will require some sanding for the rod to go through?

Won't fit.
I asked about a blade replacement on my abused 2 Dot.
"Too many dimentional changes over time.
The new blades won't fit."
Is the response I got from Buck.

Okay, new bushing is in. The old backspring was slightly too long, trimming it down a bit seems to help align everything. Just gotta pound the brass and stainless pins and see if it all works.

During, I've never tried this before so everyone can laugh if they want lol.

Nice Looks like it’s going to work are you going to sand that hump off the Lt bar where it meets the blade

The exposed spun rivet heads for the pivot look a bit odd compared to how were all used to seeing a 110, but overall you did a great job for sure.
I know I sure couldn't pull something like this off.

That sucks, so the new blade service for older gen bucks is out of commission?

Wallace, you can leave the pocket pin a little proud or sand it flat. Either way will work. I have done both and for me it depends how much
bevel is left on the surface of that front bolster. The finish on that pin is where strength is gained for side to side cutting against stress on that pin.
It looks fine. DM
