Around November I gave my BK2 to a good friend. I had my trusty BK7 and figured I could do with one less blade as he really needed a reliable blade. A month later I realized I was really missing my chunky lady as my BK7 just didn't have the same bite and batoning ability. It got the job done, but not with the same ease and finesse as my old trainwrecker.

After finally receiving my vacation payout from last year, I made the order from Tomar's and promptly received my shining new 2nd gen BK2 complete with Kabar Micarta! I also ordered a large Tek-lok from fleabay as I hate the floppy loop that comes with the stock sheath.
A brief visit with the Dremel to remove the loop rivets and a few minutes with a hot blow dryer to loosen up sheath retention and its good to go again!

My old sheath had a 9mm magazine pouch attached to the front that held a Mentos pack fire kit perfectly. Now I may try one of the ESEE pouches instead. We'll see what the future holds for this monster!

Obligatory Pics!!

nice!! i have a tec lok on order too do that mod as my snap leaves much too be desired but i like the sheath itself.

Yeah, I see people complaining about them all the time, but I don't have dulling issue with mine. Don't know if its the way I pull the blade or what, but its a solid tank of a sheath. It needs to be to contain the awesomeness of the BK2!
