Headed down to the beach with the dogs today but before I went I decided to carry out a couple more mods to my JK neck rig !
I planned on adding some fishing line and a hook to the kit and figured it could be duct taped onto the handle....
All seemed good, I have also fixed a small mirror to the back of the sheath for signalling ( also great to use when you get a fly in ya eye and have to fish it out with some tissue )and wound some Jute around my ferro rod as extra tinder......
However when I went to put the knife back in the sheath it was very tight and started to tear the tape !!! Then I realised that I could just tape it to the sheath instead....doh !!!!!
So then it was off to beach where I hadn't been walking long when I came across what appears to be Beach peas, if this is what it is the natives used to eat the pea seeds either raw or boiled and cured in seal oil....just gotta catch me a seal now !!!!
There were also some Salmon berries......
And Californian poppies, if you have toothache just cut the roots from these and apply the juice straight to the site of the pain !!!!
Maisy took to the water while Snicker thought getting her legs wet was brave enough !
She just watched as Maisy did her thing....
Yeah Snicker ain't gonna be doing this anytime soon.....
