I'm new to custom knives and this was my first show but I never knew that this existed. Everywhere, knives beyond anything that I had ever seen or even suspected. Knives that sold for $22,000, knives worth more than $200,000.

If you went into this place and had $1,000-$2,000 to spend on a folder, I have no idea how you could ever make a decision. There would thousands to choose from, all beautiful.

I went to Blade today, too. It was amazing. Stupidly, I left my camera in my car in the parking lot. I've never seen so many knives in one place in my life. It was like heaven, except it was really hot in there. My head was spinning by the time I left. I managed to get out of that place having spent less than $300, I didn't know I had that kind of self discipline. I may go back tomorrow.

EVERY knife company or person I've ever heard or read about was there. Almost every knife I've ever heard or read about was there. There were some crazy customs to be had, that's for sure. Darrel Ralph had 2 folders on his table that I swear had 10 inch blades. And they were beautiful. If you can think it, it was there. For a price. My favorite part was that a lot of makers had their kids there with them, behind the tables helping out. Wes Crawford's charming little son is a real natural salesman! I wish my dad was that cool. (He's still cool, but a different kind of cool).

I've got 100's of pictures, it would take hours to figure which to post and upload. Here is one picture, I would say that there is nothing special about this picture but it is obvious that this is artistry. I didn't pick this picture because it represents the best of show though before today it would represent one of the finest knifes that I had ever seen, I picked it because it is one of the least screwed up of my pictures.

I was hand holding and shooting available light at f2.8 most of the day. Almost all of my pictures are blurry.

I saw so many knives that would qualify for the nicest knives you have ever seen---
