Anybody here own or handled this knife? I did a search and didn't find much on it. It looks good, seems reasonably priced and is made by a company with a solid reputation. How does it compare to other hard use knives?

Thanks.

The knives are done...we're just waiting on the nylon from London Bridge to arrive, and we are expecting it this week.

It's a great piece and we look forward to the feedback.

Here's mine after chopping the hell out of a 2X4...

Robust, rugged, & durable as a field knife, and it is a fantastic thrower. It penetrates hard and deep.

VOODOO CHILD, this thread has some additional info...

Mine happens to be a pre-production prototype. Any changes to the final run Andy?

Thanks for posting your cool pic Kop.

The knives we began releasing (such as the one Kop has) are indeed pre-production models.

The full production version will not be different at all, other than a few small features, such as friction grooves and some small symmetry changes around the guard to support them and make them look right.

Thanks for the info Kopjaeger and Andy. I had seen that thread already, but I just noticed that it was started on Jan 30. I didn't realize it was such a new knife.

What steel is H-13 similar to? I don't think I've heard anything about this steel before?

I will check the specs on it for a more specific answer, but the short of the long is that it is a hot dye steel with which we have had excellent results in terms of raw material for our knife.

It's hardness at high heat yields excellent toughness (especially important in a knife that can be thrown) and it resists corrosion very much like ATS.

It's economical to boot.

I have since re-wrapped my Airborne Ranger with a STRIDER style cord wrap...
