ATC Custom Shop Tomahawk Handles!!!

One of our very special projects which is starting to take shape, are the ultra customized handles we plan to affix to specific Tomahawks in collector and presentation grade from the ATC.

Below is an example of such a handle. The stainless steel head, personally designed by the legendary Skeeter Vaughan, remains in my personal collection right now.

The new custom handle from our shop gracing the head is completely hand made from seven opposing grain laminations of instrument grade cocobolo, with custom contours and head fitting.

We chose to laminate unidirectionally for the enormous strength properties afforded to the handle....this kind of laminating is seen in the finest custom bows, instruments, and other items where strength needs to be maximized from organic material.

Look carefully at the grain structure and you'll enjoy the beauty of the laminated design, in the form of a single handle...!!!

This process has never been available on a Tomahawk to date, (I think

), nevertheless, we are quite proud of it and look forward to doing more of this custom level of work for YOUR ATC Tomahawk.

Here are the offerings from the ATC Shop at this time, defined.

Rogers' Rangers Series Tomahawks: $150 each, period finishing, fire branded hickory handle, and std. certificate of authenticity.

Rogers' Rangers Collector Tomahawks: $385 each, mirror polished head, fire branded hickory handle, and collector level certificate of authenticity.

Rogers' Rangers Commemorative Tomahawks: $650 each, mirror polished head, limited edition, serial numbered, acid etched, deluxe cocobolo laminated handle, and gold flake commemorative certificate of authenticity.

Custom Handles for Rogers' Rangers Hawks:
...if you have a standard or collector grade Rogers' Rangers Hawk on order, you can order an upgraded hand-made handle from laminated, opposed grain, instrument grade cocobolo for $175. In this way, you can keep the hickory handle for throwing and hard work, with the cocobolo handle for presentation.

The cocobolo handle is certainly strong, but not guaranteed against breakage, as it is still a natural material...BUT, it is strong enough to chop and work with all day.
