After reading the ATC threads, I think I HAVE to HAVE an ATC Roger's Rangers.
Although I like the looks of the Vietnam tactical, I want the wooden handle, just a personal preference.

Also, I am concerned that it does not have a hammer poll. About all the hammering I intend doing is tent pegs.......should I worry about no poll?

Also, how practical is the poll spike for survival/long term camping hunting situations?

I really like that hawk too. I've never had a hawk, but I'm thinking about that one.
Why don't you post on the ATC forum and ask about the possibility of getting one with a hammer poll? I think that would be an execllant option.

AFAIK the historic way to pound tent pegs with a 'hawk was to use the side of it. Saves from needing a hammer, altho I currently have a CS Rifleman's Hawk with the hammer. I would like a ATC RR too, tho. ;) ( Maybe once I win the lottery! )

I have an ATC Roger's Ranger 'Hawk with the (hammer) poll that I received just today, from a trade. It has (recently) been DC'd by ATC and was called the Light Infantry Model. It's wood handle is (about) 19 & 1/2 inches long, and it weighs a whopping 36 ounces. I have cut the handle of mine down to (a handier) 16 inches, and drilled a lanyard hole in it. The blade is pretty much razor-sharp. As soon as I can get ahold of a long black leather boot-lace, I'm going to wrap the handle, which will make it more "gripable".

The only down-side to this "Light Infantry Model" is that unless you have arms as big as "Arnold's" (The "Terminator"), this one is alittle too heavy to use as a combat Tomahawk, as once you swing it, it's hard to stop and/or change direction of the swing quickly...However, if you DO hit your "target" with the swing, the fight would pretty much be over, as I'm pretty sure it would hit hard and deep.

I'll try to shoot a picture tomorrow and post it, but I'm not promising anything, as I still haven't yet figured out the software.:D.

Sorry, but I traded this one away (yesterday) before I could get a picture of it.:(

...But you could contact Bill Siegle down in Molalla, OR, as he might post a picture of it when he receives it.:).

Thanks to colethornton, I have this mod. It says Rogers Rangers on the side of the handle and it is wicked. I love it and have not had a chance to use it yet, but I look forward to doing so.

That's the exact one that I just traded-away. It was called the "Roger's Rangers Light Infantry Model Tomahawk"...It is one hell of a stout tomahawk, and a monster of a 'Hawk, compared to the (little) ATC Lagana Tactical Vietnam Tomahawk.

Cerberus nice set you have, the Buse looks like a handy tool to go with your
hawk
