ATC in Maxim Magazine

I got my December 2001 copy of Maxim today.
In an photo acticle called "North Pole Confidential" I find none other than the presentation grade LaGana Vietnam Tomahawk on page 179.(Look to the right of the babe, no to the right):rolleyes:

Even cooler is that I have held this hawk. Isn't this the one CJ used to draw blood with last June?

I don't recognize the babe though, of course while serving my limited term as Lieutenant Governor there were so many.:D

Yeah, I thought I was headed for glory in the last article from Nov. 2000....until they said I looked like G.I. Joe with Knife Throwing Action!!! :D That's what the really put under my picture BTW...anyway, I have to thank Bobby for that job...it was fun....I got to throw some kitchen knives and get all dolled up by a make-up artist for the photo-shoot.

This time, I told them to put one of our Tomahawks in the new issue instead of another picture of my Sea Adventurer (as GPB likes to point out! :D ) mugshot! :eek:

Anyway, it's cool to be in Maxim again...this time with one of our Hawks in the Cool Gear Section or something...I haven't seen it yet, but it's still cool.

Thanks for posting this here Mel! That sure is the same Hawk that ole' Ranger Justin baptized with his own DNA at the 2000 Blade Show....don't know who wound up with the NG Ranger that Justin baptized at the NY Show! I was thinking of dedicating a web page to a special service from ATC, where a real Ranger would provide some of his personal DNA on the Hawk as a selling feature! ;)

That very Vietnam Commemorative Hawk is now on Gen. Shelton's mantle as of his retirement from Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff...this is his second one and reportedly, he loves them both. We didn't tell him about the Ranger blood however.....although, he might have liked that fact! :)

OK.....I just saw page 179.........WOW!!!

I could NOT have asked for a better ad. The image is UNBELIEVABLE and the ad copy is totally COOL!!!

My hat is off to MAXIM.
 
Ok I finally got to see the add in Maxim.......WOW. I will try and post the add here shortly. That way everyone will be able to see it.

...edited by Andy. Justin's camera doesn't do the pic in the magazine justice, but you get the point...he also cropped out Santa's Helper, which you HAVE to buy the magazine to see next to the Hawk! ;)
 
...just a quick note to report that this promo in MAXIM has produced a great deal of pride and joy in our little family of Tomahawk lovers.

It has also produced a few newcomers to Tomahawks who I never would have expected to hear from!!!! :) This magazine truly is read by a great number of people from all walks of life and work...very cool.

I don't read Maxim but I will pick up this one. Hey Andy, how was that stogie? Did you like it?
