Welcome to Bladeforums! :D

If you're looking at a big knife for a low price, the odds are the quality isn't there, and you're buying a display piece at best.

Whenever someone asks about Atlanta Cutlery, I feel compelled to repeat my story about a visit to their store in Conyers, Georgia a few years ago. I live about an hour's drive from there.

Atlanta Cutlery also sells the Museum Replica line of swords and daggers. I went to their store to have a look at some Museum Replica daggers. Their daggers and swords come unsharpened, and a $10 fee is charged for sharpening.

I asked the clerk in the retail store if the dagger I was interested in could be sharpened. She went into the back to ask about it, then came back and replied, "The Museum Replica pieces can be sharpened, but the Atlanta Cutlery brand can't take it."

That was all I needed to hear. I didn't buy anything, and I have never gone back to their store.
