OK, I have to ask this. Been perusing there on line site and have noticed that they have high carbon forged bowies for sale it seems fairly cheap. How good or not good are they. On one they claim to have hacked down a 4" diameter tree and it still shaved. Does anyone own one have seen/handled one etc etc. Keep'em sharp

I believe you will find the quality of these knives lacking. If I'm not mistaken, these are cheapos either made in Pakistan or India. Either way, not what you really want to rely on.

They're made by the same people who make the Kukries they sell, India's Windlass Steel Crafts. They bought Atlanta Cutlery from Bill Adams I believe, also.

I live about one hour's drive from Atlanta Cutlery, and went to their retail store about two years ago to look at their Museum Replicas line of daggers. While in the store, I asked the lady behind the counter if the daggers could be sharpened. She went to the back to ask someone. When she returned, she told me that the Museum Replicas cutlery could be sharpened, but not the Atlanta cutlery stuff, because "they can't take it".

Needless to say, knives that "can't take" being sharpened probably aren't among the best.
