My apologies to HI for asking about a competitor here.
Can anybody suggest a good man to restore the Nepalese Bhojpure khukri my beloved bride gave me for Christmas (early) this year? The edge is chipped, the point is broken off and slightly bent, and the wood handle should probably be replaced, it has a two-inch crack along the top.
I want it handled by somebody who will treat the old blade with the respect it deserves and not butcher it.
Thanks.

I bought one from HI about ten years ago, before HI was really going as strong as it seems to be now. I remember talking to the owner for about 30 minutes on the phone about it, deciding which one to get, there weren't many styles offered then. It finally came, there was a minor problem with the handle cap (don't know the terminology) that I made worse, I had the cap replaced by a local guy who did a very fine job, then shortly after it was dropped and the crack in the horn resulted. Not HI's fault, I'm very satisfied with the steel on that one, just need to get the horn handle re-done.
In looking through the number of styles they offer on the web site now, I actually am tempted to pick up another one.
I wanted one of the historical pieces from the Atlanta Cutlery buy in Nepal to have one actually used by the people it was made for.
Looks like Sisco is the man, good advice.
Thanks again.
