I'm going to a show at the Borgata casino this weekend - does anyone know if they do searches/pat downs? When I'm walking around A.C. I usually carry a blade with me. I don't recall any security when I have walked into casinos to gamble - but I never went to a show before.

I have been to shows in the Las Vegas and the Connecticut resort casinos. I have never heard of a pat-down/search. They have signs throughout these places forbidding the possession of weapons, but I carried a 4" lockblade folder into them numerous times without a problem. Pocket the knife completely, do not let the clip show. Keep a low profile and you should be OK. If you do go to the Borgata, check out Chef Gordon Ramsay's new restaurant in there. Earlier this year, a young chef from Florida named Danny won the "Hell's Kitchen" competition. Ramsay gave him an executive chefship at this restaurant as a reward.
