Atlas horizontal Mill - Surface grinder?

I might have a shot at one of these mills this week. I am wondering if it might not be adapted for surface grinding with a belt attachment. Anyone done this?

The table moves way too slow to be used as a surface grinder. But I guess it could work.

Also too coarse an adjustment for the cut, Thousandths, not Tenths.


I'd still buy it though.
Horizontal mills are cool.

It is pretty cool, but I haven't seen it yet in person, just a few pics. hard to tell if it's in good shape.
