Atomic Watches

I have been very happy with a couple Casio atomic watches I own. They are inexpensive, and no watch in the world is more accurate. I only wish they were better looking. Does anyone have any idea why other watch manufacturers (Seiko, Rado, Rolex, Citizen, etc.) don't offer their own line of atomic watches? It's a mystery to me. Regards all.

Those watches are not really atomic themselves, they are quartz watches with a radio unit which allows them to adjust their time according to the broadcast signal from an atomic clock somewhere in your area on the globe.

Citizen does have a few radio-controlled watches in their line. The high end brands probably do not bother so much with these since they are quartz watches and people pay more for mechanicals.

I think it's kind of unjust to ask that. How come other companies don't include Spyderco holes, emerson waves, BM axis locks, CRK fit and finish, and strider durability?

It seems like each and every company has it's own niche in the business; each and every company is represented and by it's own personality, shape, and design. Maybe Citizen, Seiko, Rado, Rolex, etc., aren't really entirely after "function" as much as Casio pulls, because they are more concerned with the traditional respects to watchmaking. I don't know, I'm new to watches.

Radio controlled watches are cool and all, and if you strongly feel this way, maybe it's an endeavor you can take up on your own. Seriously. A lot of successful businesses are just improvements on an existing idea.
