ATR for a lefty?

I asked this question on the Spyderco.com forums awhile back. Everyone seems to agree the compression lock is very leftie-freindly, and some even went as far to say it works better for lefties.

I'm a hardcore lefty, and in most case I regfuse to buy locks that aren't fully ambidextrous, but even I have to grudgingly admit that the ATR is lefty friendly. I've carried one for a few weeks, with little problems.

I'm right handed, and I find all the compression locks I have easier to operate left handed than right handed. Too bad the Gunting is just not practical for EDC utility use.

Out of curiosity - which way do y'all carry the tip-up ATR? Righties carry in the front right pocket with blade towards the extreme right & lefties in the left pocket with blade towards the extreme left?

That is, if anything else is put in the (respective) front pocket, it only contacts the handle as the blade is towards the outside edge of the (respective) pocket...right? :)

I'm a lefty and have come to find that the compression lock is very left hand friendly. With that said, I like the comp lock on the Para much more than the one on the ATR. I had been after a Ti ATR for the longest time and was finally able to get a hold on one, but the comp lock would pinch my hand every time I opened it. I ended up selling it because of this. It's too bad though, the Ti ATR is such a sweet knife...
