Had trouble locating a picture of the ATR in-hand, and was wondering if anyone could post one. Also, does anyone EDC this? Looks big and heavy, but I find myself wanting this knife.

Have you looked over at the Spyderco forums? You might find something over there. Or just request a pic and someone will probably help you our. I would be happy to if I had an ATR.

no pics but i edc a Ti ATR and its far from being big or heavy, actually its pretty thin and carries very well, i carry mine almost daily and each morning i pick between the ATR, a custom emerson specwar CQC8 or a strider SmF recurve so the ATR is doing pretty well to beat out he other knives imho, must be doing something right.

the SS ATR due to the extra holes i suppose is just BARELY heavier than the Ti version, and carries just as well. i do like the S30V on the Ti version, but the VG10 is also good, i would have kept my SS ATR (i have 3 Ti ATRs, 2 PE and 1 SE) but my best bud just HAD to have it so i sold it to him and he carries it daily also.

the ATR is my fav spyderco by far and one of the best spydies too imho. the Ti ATR is starting to get a little scarce and pricey the SS is still easy to find though, ya should try one i sure like mine.

I have an SS and I love it. It is a big knife, but I would say easier than EDCing a manix or chinook. I EDC mine and I love it, it has an EXTREMELY ergonomically solid grip. Given I had to use it for something life threatening, Im sure certain slash moves could so much as break a collarbone...very, very solid knife. If you dont like big knives it probabaly isnt for you, but if you dont mind then it is awesome. Ill get some pics up tommorrow after school

I have the SS ATR and is almost too light to me.I got it online so I never handled one.Looked heavier or maybe it was just me.It is a keeper, get one and you will love it.

Thanks folks! I almost forgot about this thread. lol. LOoks like it isn't as big or long as I thought. Nice to know that the SS version isn't too heavy, either. This is going to be my next purchase, for sure.:D

Be advised, the guy in the picture above has pretty big hands :D
But, so do I, so I don't know how much a picture from me would help

they arent a big knife imho, big hands or small, when i think of a big folder i think strider AR/BM rukus/cammilus maxx/etc the ATR isnt any where near that size............
