Greetings!

I have a few questions about a recently acquired 1995 small Sebenza. My friend has a 1995 large and his standoff and thumb stud are both metal colored. In addition, the clip his has was added in 1998 it did not come with it.
So my question is about mine......was it sent back at some point for the coloring and the clip or was this an option at the time?
It doesn't matter either way, I would just like to know. The thumb stud is the older hand made style, it looks identical to the one on my friend's except for the coloring.

Any help is appreciated!

Hard to tell in the picture but is the clip recessed?

If it isn't recessed then my guess is that it was an add-on.

CRK introduced the pocket clip option near the end of the "original-style" Sebenza model, sometime around 1995. They became standard with the "New Design" or "Regular" Sebenza's introduced in 1996. Yours appears to be an authentic CRK clip from original run. Very nice if you ask me.

Thumb studs and spacers were blue a lot earlier than on yours, I had a small made in 1993 that had the blue standoff and thumb stud and the whole knife was mint original with box, BD card and canvas sheath. So they were offered in both silver blue for a very long time.
