The series of fighters I have planned is in the works. Just a few more details (Like how to fund it) remain.

Should I use ATS34 or 440C?

They will be Full Tang, Flat ground using 1/4" or 3/16" stock. Heat treat honors go to Paul Bos when I get to that stage.

I use stainless steels for the most part,ATS34,440C,BG42,and if I was to make a fighter for myself,I would do it with 440C.Without going into great detail,IMO,it is a better all around steel than ATS34,especially the way Paul heat treats it.Gotta go get my asbestos underwear on now, excuse me.;)

Gotta disagree, ATS34 or BG42, marquenched in salt, cryo'd and tempered at the low temperature range is the way to go. See my website for Hitachi info.

I love knifemakeing! There is always more than one way to do things.:D
