ATS34 or 440C for fighters

The series of fighters I have planned is in the works. Just a few more details (Like how to fund it) remain.

Should I use ATS34 or 440C?

They will be Full Tang, Flat ground using 1/4" or 3/16" stock. Heat treat honors go to Paul Bos when I get to that stage.

I use stainless steels for the most part,ATS34,440C,BG42,and if I was to make a fighter for myself,I would do it with 440C.Without going into great detail,IMO,it is a better all around steel than ATS34,especially the way Paul heat treats it.Gotta go get my asbestos underwear on now,excuse me.

Gotta disagree, ATS34 or BG42, marquenched in salt, cryo'd and tempered at the low temperature range is the way to go. See my website for Hitachi info.
