I sent this design to John a while back, and he profiled it out and then sent it to me to drill the holes in the handle - then I sent it back to the Mokena Foundry and Machine Works for the final grind and heat treat (K-Treet).

It is 01 tool steel, full flat grind, slight parabolic curve for better cutting leverage, and holes in the handle to provide a balance at the ricasso.

Came out nice despite my lack of abilities - although I would do a better job on the holes on the next one.....

Nice. How thick is it?

That little one is interesting too. Looks well used/loved.

Nice looking blade!

Thanks - it is 1/8" thick.

That little one is the infamous Scanduckie! John made that at a Gathering way back when he asked each attendee to design a tin-knife and he made them for us at the gathering. Being the twisted soul I am, I came up with this little scandi-grind with thumb notches and a small duck-like blade. Hence, Scanduckie!

What's the black handle knife?

Hi John -

That is the Kershaw / Hinderer Cinder - the blade shape is very reminiscent of the Scanduckie -
