attaching a clip to a clipless knife?

Hello, i am very much a newbie to knives.

I have found an affordable knife that i like - the Excalibur Claw tac-folder. (Exalibur knives are common and pretty cheap here in Australia - it is a Taiwanese company i believe.)

It has a great gripping handle - tiny little bumps like sharkskin - which feels good in my hand. The blade has a slight upwards-ramping tilt for your thumb to press up against, which is notched for more purchase.

Anyway, the main problem i have with it is that it has no clip. I'm thinking as a last resort i can super-glue one on. Or hopefully it won't be too hard to take it apart, drill tiny holes, and attach it properly.

But where would i get the clip? And any opinion on modifying the knife vs. gluing it?

thanks,
charlie

Hi Charlie,
Welcome to the forums. I'd forget about the super glue,
drill tap and screw is the way to go. KnifeKitssells pocket clips and a pocket clip assy. kit(drill, tap, tap wrench and screws).
You can probably get them from some of the other knifemaker supply houses (link to the CL Wilkins suppliers list) also.
Regards,
Greg
