What is the best way to do this? As always, photos are welcomed! :D

Thanks

Get hold of Normark and have him make one up for you. A classic blade like the F1 deserves one of Normark's classic sheaths.

I got a sheath with a fire steel loop for my f1 from Normark...It is a perfect match for this knife and I wouldn't think of venturing off the beaten path with out this combo. in the interim cut a piece from a bicycle innertube (a ranger band) and work it over the sheath you'll be able to hold a fire steel, but it is a far cry from the work of art you'll get from one of Normarks sheaths.

Yup, another vote for contacting Eric, for one of his fine sheaths.

Here's a pic of a small firesteel added to my Necker with ranger bands.

I've done it like this in the past.

I AGREE 100% WITH Alberta Ed, and Rescue Riley, I'am using a Ranger band on my BRK&T Bravo 1. NORMARK is working on a fire steel loop for me now.
HE make's a great product and has a excelent reputation on this forum. also very knowledgeable on survival subjects.

for now I just used some paracord to hold it all in place, later I'll talk to Normark!

yes it jingles and jangles but that'll keep the bears and mountain lions aware of us!

here is a pic of one of eric's f1 sheaths, with a firesteel loop.... :D

Hey Guys...

Thanks very much...

TAH..

One of the best ways to do this on the cheap is to cut a piece of bicycle inner tube to whatever size you want and slip it over the sheath..
Tuck underneath what you want to carry..Remember to dummy cord the important stuff...

I have several slip sheaths for ordinary kitchen paring knives with firesteels held in place this way..
Not pretty but functional...
