Attaching a Tek-Lok clip

I've seen quite a few Kydex rigs lately using the Tek-Lok clips. What I can't figure out is how do they attach? Do you attach them before you form the kydex or after (I would tend to think after, but then how do you attach the hardware?). If the hardware goes inside the shealth, how do you keep it from marring the knife?

If anyone has pics showing the attachment process, I would love to see them.

They will attach after you mold the sheath. Most of them attach along one edge of the sheath so they don't touch the knife at all. The back of a tek-lok has a pattern of holes that allow you multiple options for mounting and carry.

They come with the specific hardware needed. Do a search for Tek-lok on here and you'll see several examples and get the idea of how they usually attach. I recently tried them and they do work real nice. Be aware that there are two sizes. Don't bother with the smaller ones unless you're making small belt knife sheaths. The larger one includes a spacer to fit various belt widths.
