It depends on how the tang is shaped. If the tang is the full width of what the handle will be (full tang) then you'd put a piece of your wood and glue it down, any 2 part epoxy should work ok. If the tang is skinny and will go through the middle of the handle, you'd need to drill a hole and stick it through, epoxy is a good idea for this style too. Then drill 2 holes so it goes through the wood and the steel (some people drill the holes before glueing). Find pin material the size of your holes (maybe you should find pin material first and drill the holes to match, heh), put some epoxy on the pins and stick them through. Once they dry, sand the pins down to match the sides of the handle, and do any wood finish you plan to do. If you didn't overheat the sawblade making the blade, you shouldn't need to HT it. By the way, I thought you said you were 16 in your other post?

Age won't be a problem with blade making, but remember to have supervision from your father atleast the first few times that you grind a blade or drill the holes. Improper use of a drill can send the blade spinning in a windmill of death or a snapped bit; grinding and sanding the blade is also a good way to cut yourself if done carelessly (trust me  ). One other safety bit that I might mention is reading an entire post- Bladsmith gave you all that you needed about tempering the blade. Skimming something and missing a step is one of the bigger health hazzards involved in the creation of sharp objects.

An easy handle to make is for a full tang blade.
-Trace out the shape of the tang with a pencil on wood
-Cut out the shape
-Repeat.
-Mark where your holes on the tang are, on the wood.
-Drill the holes in the wood
-Take pins which are the size of the holes and cut them to the total width of the grip (blade included)
-File a couple of grooves in the pins (not necessary)
-Put epoxy on them and stick em in the holes with everything together
-Wipe off excess epoxy
-Let it set over night

Hope that this helps

woudnt i need to clap my handles on because i do belive if with out pressure the epoxy wont get a good hold.
